ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Record-Keeping & Transactions:
• Process and record daily financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries)
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of invoices, payments, and expenses
Intercompany Transactions & Reconciliation:
• Perform intercompany balance confirmations and reconciliations to ensure accuracy between related entities
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in intercompany accounts in coordination with relevant departments
Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Prepare budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with other teams
• Monitor actual vs. budgeted expenses and provide variance analysis
Reconciliation & Reporting:
• Perform monthly bank, vendor, and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review
• Preparation of reporting materials for the Japan headquarters, such as sustainability reports and profit and loss forecasts
Audit & Internal Controls:
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documents and explanations
• Implement and follow internal financial controls and procedures

YOUR PROFILE
Education & Experience:
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-3 years of working experience in accounting
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (Dutch GAAP, IFRS is a plus)
• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP
• Excellent Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to help and be proactive, team player attitude
• Open to learning
• Solution oriented attitude
• Self-driver who knows how to approach the job and is passionate about the industry
• Initiative: ability to come up with original ideas in addition to assigned tasks
• Well-organized and takes responsibility to finish given tasks on time
• Has high standards of work ethics and the ability to maintain professional relationship with colleagues and customers
• Fluent in English and Japanese is a must
• Holds valid EU work and residence permit and live within commuting distance to Amsterdam
