Visit to Dutch wineries and winemaking workshop
Did you know that there are the wineries in the Netherlands?
JCC organizes a visit to Betuws Wijndomein in Erichem, Gelderland, which was awarded as a best winery at the ”Wijnkeuring van de Lage Landen 2022 (Low Countries Wine Jury in 2022)”.
We gather at winery and make a quick tour in the vineyards, to the wine factory, and the wine cellar. At the same time, we learn and see the wine producing process. The day concludes the workshop where each participant makes one bottle of red wine and one bottle of white wine under the guidance of the winery staff. Each participant will take self-made bottles to home.

- 14:15 -16:00 Winemaking workshop. Then tasting is optional, not included in the participation fee, shopping, etc.

Important notice:
- Please arrange your own transportation.
- Wine tasting will be available for those who wish, so please ensure you have a handle keeper and register at your own risk. Free parking space is available.
- The wine-making workshop is aimed for people aged 18 and older (according to Dutch law) and is not designed for children. Children are welcome to accompany you, but we do not include the number of children in the number of participants.
- Travel insurance must be taken out by the participants.
- Cancellation policy: No refunds for cancellation after Friday 28 October.

Betuws Wijndomein was established in 2004 by a former sugar beet farmer who started growing grapes and has started producing the wine. They own more than 20,000 grape trees in 7 ha vineyard. They produce not only wines but also the gourmet products such as the bottle of juice, jam and other gourmet products. Although only the white wine production is quite common at the Dutch wineries, Betuws Wijndomein winery produces a wide range of red, white, sparkling and semi-sparkling wines.
Betuws Wijndomein acquired the most medals (six gold, eight silver and one bronze) at the Low Countries Wine Jury 2022 (Wijnkeuring van de Lage Landen 2022) where 58 wineries from the Netherlands and Belgium and a total of 238 wines participated and was recognized by the jury as “the best winery” for the second year in a row.
