Competition authorities in the EU are increasingly paying attention to labour-related issues. In view of this, in this seminar, we will explain labour-related issues from both labour law and competition law perspectives.
First, competition authorities have begun sanctioning agreements concerning human resources as infringements of competition law. Given this trend, this seminar will provide guidance on labour-related conduct to be avoided from a competition law perspective.
Second, this seminar will deal with non-compete clauses. Non-compete clauses are now increasingly considered as problematic because they limit the ability for employees to change workplace. This seminar will thus discuss how competition laws could impact the enforceability and scope of non-compete restrictions in employment agreements.
We will organize a casual reception after the seminar for building a network among members.
