In recent years, the EU has seen increased regulation in the area of cybersecurity. For example, new legislation in the area of cybersecurity, such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) for financial institutions, the NIS2 Directive for various entities providing services in the EU and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) regulating digital products offered on the EU market are emerging in rapid succession.

In this seminar, Bird & Bird lawyers Mr. Berend Van Der Eijk and Mr. Feyo Sickinghe will provide an overview of the various EU cybersecurity regulations and explain how and when these regulations apply to Japanese companies, how they are affected and what specific measures can be taken.
