(Junior) Customer Service Officer

Customer Service Team

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1) Act as the first point of contact for customers:

  • Receive and process the customers’ orders (via the internal logistics system Infor)
  • Keep close communication on the order process with the customers
  • Control the administrative processes of the customers (information on progress, internal and external reporting, etc.)
  • Handle other requests from customers

2) Interact with the Warehouse Team:

  • Keep close internal communication on the customers’ orders with the Warehouse Team
  • Provide accurate (order) information to the Warehouse Team
  • Keep administrative control of the warehouse activities

3) Make transport arrangements:

  • Make import and export arrangements
  • Contact and keep control of the transporters / carriers
  • Arrange and handle the relevant paperwork

4) Issue invoices:

  • Collect, enter and process shipping data and costs invoices
    Create invoice attachments and sales invoices (via Exact system)

5) Others:

  • Cooperate with and assist the team’s (General) Manager
  • Create and update work instructions
  • Provide ideas for improvement of the processes
  • Take care of any other customer service-related tasks and assignments if needed/at the management’s request

  • Some working experience in a 3rd party logistics, customer service environment
  • Familiar with logistics services
  • Knowledge of and experience with logistical administrative processes

Nippon Express NEC Logistics Europe B.V. is looking for a new colleague (per immediately) seriously interested in a long-term job as (Junior) Customer Service Officer for the Customer Service Team.
One will start out with fixed-term contracts that would become a permanent contract after proven ability. It’s in principle a full-time position (40 hours per week), regular working hours are between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. (or possibly a slightly different schedule from e.g. 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and the lunch break amounts to 30 minutes.
